Md. Sunny Zobair Roni Special Representative A pilot named Asim Jawad was killed in the crash of an Air Force training fighter plane in Patenga, Chittagong. The injured co-pilot is undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Today (May 9) around 12:30 PM, pilot Jawad died while undergoing treatment at Banouja Isa Khan Hospital (Navy Hospital) in Patenga.

Deputy Commissioner of City Police (Port) Shakila Soltana confirmed the matter.

Shakila Soltana said that when the pilot and co-pilot of the crashed training plane of the Air Force came down by parachute, they were rescued and admitted to Banouja Isa Khan Hospital. One of them, Asim Jawad, died while undergoing treatment at around 1 pm. Others are undergoing treatment.

Director of Chittagong Shah Amanat Airport, Group Captain Taslim Ahmed, said that the Air Force's training fighter YAK130 Air Force Training Fighter crashed during landing.
