Representative Gaibandha Sadar Upazila A visit to the fair is a wish-fulfillment, a few kilometers away from Gaibandha you can see Mir’s garden. Mir’s garden is suspended, 1337 Bangla year of 1011 1st organization, Dariapur Gaibandha located in Ghagoa union No. 10. A fair is held every first Baisakh to the last Baisakh dedicated to this garden of Mir. A mosque is located in this Mir garden, the mosque was looked after by Pir Shah Sultan Ghazi, Mir Mosharraf Hussain and Sharafuddin Hussain. According to local sources, Mir’s garden was once full of flowers and trees. Suddenly one day Gazi Shah Sultan died, he was buried in the garden of Mir once full of shrines, after some time Mosharraf Hussain died. Promoted since then as Mir’s Garden, the shrine centers on thousands of people vowing to Mir’s garden, and is said to have prospered. The shrine signifies that whatever one wishes for is fulfilled. In the month of Baisakh, the celebration called fair starts in Mir’s garden and there are various kinds of shops and various events where people gather every day and someone cooks khichuri and feeds people by making vows to the shrine. All kinds of people go to Mir’s garden.
