Tanjid Shah Jalal Iman, Barisal University representative  Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury is scheduled to attend the ‘Regional History Conference-2024’ event on the history and heritage of Greater Barisal as the chief guest. The conference will start tomorrow Thursday (May 9) morning at the Jeevananda Das Conference Hall of Barisal University.

Barisal City Corporation Mayor Abul Khair Abdullah (Khokon Serniabat) will be the guest of honor at the event organized by Bangladesh History Association and Barisal University History Department. Barisal University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. will be the special guest. Mohammad Badruzzaman Bhuiyan.
Besides, Professor Ashutosh of Calcutta University’s History Department will be present as the keynote speaker. Amit Dey.

It should be noted that the history and traditions of Barisal will be discussed in this day-long conference. The organizers said that the issues will be highlighted through the presentation of several articles in the conference.
