“Mother”

you’re my first teacher,
The world filled with light
Just seeing your smile,
My heart feels so right.
The word ‘mother’ is so small,
Yet you’re so grand and vast,
You love me, mother,
With so much affection cast.
Under your feet lies paradise,
You are my joy,
I find peace when
I see Your face, oh so coy.
On Mother’s Day, for you,
Resides all my love,
Your prayers for me,
Are what I hope for, above.
